Newmilns is one of the seven communities in East Ayrshire to be preparing a 5 year Community Action Plan in a programme funded by Ayrshire Leader, designed by STAR Development Group. STAR are training and supporting East Ayrshire Council staff to deliver the programme with the communities. Newmilns will hold their Community Futures event this weekend 2nd November and are expecting a great turnout, following the huge response to their household survey. Nearly half the households in this Ayrshire town responded in the survey, carried out as part of STAR Development Group’s Community Action Planning programme.
